About Me

Environmentalist. Stubborn. Natural Born DIYer

A Colombian transplant in the Canadian Maritimes.

Once upon a time this petite-pretty lady dreamed with writing tv shows and working from home in pajamas.

Today, after 10 years of experience in digital marketing, Adriana Santiago (in Spanish, La Ropavejera), is a Digital Media Planner who wastes manages her clients’ advertising budgets during the day, but when the night comes, she tries to save the planet by transforming sad, hideous rags into fabulous (and brand new) fashion treasures!

But... who cares? It's freaking used and old clothes!

Well, that's a way to see it but, in case you don't know, the landfills in the world are literally about to explode with all the crap we discard... most of times that "crap" happens to be recyclable or in good condition.

The truth is, we're living in a world where the super-production of things, specially clothes, is contaminating our environment and exploiting adults and children and only a few people are making a crazy load of money out of others miseries... and you know what? that's definitely not cool. But recycling is... and being creative as well!

Adriana thinks there's still hope in old-used clothes and people's brains. That's why she started this journey to transform old decadent rags into something beautiful and functional. Be aware that she never took sewing classes, has no idea of how to use a sewing machine -for now-. But this blog will prove she knows stuff and she's brilliant... pretty much like you.

She has also participated as scriptwriter in some Colombian TV shows. She still dreams with writing more TV shows and working from home in refahions.
